Joey will join Fritz Hauser, Ian Cleworth, Louise Devenish, Paul Tanner and Gabrielle Lee in a concert of short solo works that explore the breadth of percussion and the artistry and styles of each artist.

Artist Bio

Joey Eng (b. 2001) is an Australian percussionist, composer, producer and
educator. He completed his Bachelor of Music from WAAPA receiving the
2022 WAAPA Medal as the top graduate of the entire school. He has
received many accolades including an ECU Vice Chancellor’s Award, a
2022 Peter Hurford Award, and was the winner of the 2022 Warana
Concerto Competition. A multi-skilled percussionist and collaborator, he
has performed with many orchestras across Australia including the
Western Australian Symphony Orchestra, Perth Symphony Orchestra,
Australian Baroque, Australian Youth Orchestra, Vienna Pops Orchestra
and is an international touring member of the World Percussion Group. As
a composer, he regularly premieres new orchestral works, solo and
chamber percussion pieces online – works that have since been performed
by musicians around the world. Joey is endorsed by Marimba One (USA) as
a Premier Artist and his compositions are published by Edition Svitzer
(Denmark).
