Bobby and Benjamin have collaborated for over 2 decades. Many techniques have been developed to bridge the worlds of Indian and Western rhythmic approaches. If you have ever wanted to dive into the depths of Hindustani Classical music & tradition of the Tabla, This is your chance. Bobby will give you a very In Depth approach and invite the participants to speak the rhythms and share in compex counting cycles. They will both break down how they collaborate and compose together through music demonstrations and masterclass.

Bobby Singh studied in Mumbai under the guidance of Tabla master Aneesh Prahan and is renowned throughout Australia and internationally for his work with projects that straddle the divide between tradition and modernity. He has performed with Grammy award winner Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, John Butler and Slava Grigoryan amongst many others and won an ARIA award for the cross-cultural album ‘Djan Djan’ with Mamadou Diabate and Jeff Lang.

For over 20 years Benjamin has performed all over the world in projects that cover a staggering variety of styles and genres from traditionally inspired ensembles such as Taikoz, Dha and Circle of Rhythm, to theatre and circus collaborations – “My Bicycle Loves You”, “Scotch & Soda”, and all the way to live improvised electronica with The Bird and Remix Experiment.
